In the 1970’s, Mr. H and Mr. R recognized a need among the automotive industry and driving enthusiasts for improved suspension components over marginal stock offerings. Each having had years of professional and personal automotive experience, the Mr.’s H&R were familiar with the limitations of vehicle manufacturers’ stock suspensions. Their response to this perceived need established the H&R program. Werner Heine and Heinz Remmen combined their similar interests, years of driving experience, and suspension expertise to design, manufacture, and produce the highest quality springs.
